Putting XENON UV flash lamps to successful use
Curing with XENON UV flash lamps is particularly important where low heat input, a large penetration depth or speed are what counts. Use in the production of CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs is a prime example in this regard. Here, UV-curing materials have to be loaded with sufficient UV light throughout a complex layer structure so as to permanently and completely trigger polymerization.
The curing of thick layers of a gel in electrodes in human medicine is another example. Other uses can be found in the field of heat-sensitive films in roll-to-roll applications, for example.
Polytec offers you both systems for industrial use in the production process and laboratory equipment for research and development.
